Why is this important?
6000 Laotians were not counted in Census 2000.
The Laotian American National Alliance is putting
a team together (organizations and individuals) to make sure
all Laotians
fill out the census forms correctly.
The numbers assists the state and federal agencies,
to provide assistance to the population.
Non-profit organizations will also be able to advocate
efficiently for the community.
Become a LANA volunteer to translate forms,
to help fill out census forms
and to advocate for our communities.
